Eugene is a fantastic part of Oregon to live in. In the spring and summer you can enjoy a backdrop of velvety green hills and mountains laced with rivers and streams, while the fall offers a beautiful array of autumn colors that cover the hill sides. The snowy winters, while cold, are equally as beautiful, with the entire city draped in white. Because of this natural beauty, there are many recreational opportunities, including rafting, bicycling, running, kayaking, hiking, etc. Also noted in Eugene is the focus on the arts, activist political leanings, and residents with “alternative” lifestyles.
